Accessibility Notes
Current public statement
askjake.pro is a text-first static site designed to keep professional information reachable without requiring scripts, accounts, or heavy interaction. The site uses semantic HTML, visible keyboard focus, skip-to-content support, stable page links, and public reference files that help visitors and search tools understand the available pages.
Current support
- Keyboard-visible focus states and a skip-to-content link.
- Semantic header, navigation, main, article, and footer structure.
- Compact resume and homepage summaries with native disclosure controls for longer detail.
- Dialog-based resume evidence previews that move focus into the dialog and return focus to the triggering control when closed.
- Text-first pages that remain meaningful when summarized or indexed by search and assistive tools.
- Sitemap,
llms.txt,llms-full.txt, andsite-index.jsonfiles for easier review of public page content. - Downloadable PDF and DOCX resume links in repeated locations.
Known improvement areas
- Manual screen-reader testing is still needed.
- Production images and future media assets will need alternate text and contrast review once provided.
- Long-form resume bullets remain intentionally detailed in full records, so future passes should keep checking mobile reading flow as the content grows.
